We aim to embed core sustainable values and systems across all activities and operations.

The ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ takes a strategic approach to sustainable development across all its operations and activities. Meeting our sustainable development objectives is crucial to students, staff, and the wider local community to which we share a vital academic and economic position across the region; coupled with an accountability to ensure the protection of the condition of our immediate and global environment through the pursuit of excellence in social and corporate responsibility.

The Sustainability Team is pleased to announce that the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ has been awarded the EcoCampus Silver Award, an important milestone in our continued drive for environmental sustainability.

EcoCampus is a national environmental management framework designed specifically for the higher and further education sector. It supports universities and colleges in developing robust Environmental Management Systems (EMS), helping to improve their environmental performance, meet legal obligations, and embed sustainability into core operations and culture.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to embedding sustainable practices across the university - supported not only by our students and staff but championed by our senior leadership team. It demonstrates how collective action and shared values can drive meaningful progress.

Together, we are building a greener university, please view our reports below to see how.

We aim to embed core sustainable values and systems across all activities and operations.
